These were one of my first products posted on TpT...
and they are still a favorite.
I made them to help a lower 2nd grade class I had years ago...
They have been used many times since!
The first photo is linked to a FREE week.
They are patterned after each other so the students become familiar with the routine and increase their confidence and reading skills.
Each week is sold individually... or
bundled into 3 different sets.

I have been asked to show pictures of my math stations.
I totally understood because I am a visual learner myself.
Each month has 12 stations.
3 in each of the critical areas.
Each station also includes the list above.
That may start to sound confusing... but it's not.
Each of the 12 stations are VISUALLY grouped also.
The specific station above (Comparing Numbers) LOOKS like a group that belongs together. Each piece has the Pilgrim man and woman!!
So if you mix up the lamination pieces... no big deal...
just find the similar match.
This addition station has leaves...
Telling Time... tepees...
I have many other posts on my blog...
Click here for another broken down version.
1st, 2nd and 3rd Grade are available.

The past 2 years I purchased spiral notebooks for each student (during the BTS sales).
We keep them in our desk for one of those "moments".
They are fairly simple and random. Somedays we write our spelling and highlight the rule for the week, or list 5 facts from the story we read and do a quick write. Yesterday we wrote out a few fact families during a quick math moment. During language time we did this page above as a review. We don't have many rules for our spiral notebook... just be sure the date each entry. It has been nice to refer back to one quick, easy-to-get resource for reviews and questions.

It used to be Veteran's Day was a holiday when I spoke about my great grandfathers, or grandpas... now a days I'm talking about fathers and husbands.
My darling cousin, Rich, has served our country numerous times.
I am grateful for his service, strength and protection.
My hope and prayers are for PEACE...
I am so grateful for the strong and brave that step up to the plate to protect our country.
They are the REAL HEROES in our society!!
I created a little mini $1 file for Veteran's Day for my little kiddos.
It includes 2 math and 2 ELA activities to do on this special day!

Scholastic has a wonderful post regarding The First Thanksgiving Lesson Plans and Materials. I used and explored them last year. Wow!!
I am so excited to share this part of history with my kids this year.
We have a few Ipads in our classroom now and I'm planning on grouping them around the technology. Scholastic has provided many links for the kids to explore.
I also plan on using the projector to discuss and share some of the material whole group.
The lesson plans are quite nice also. I've printed it off and plan to follow the K-2.
It invites the kids and class to create various T charts, Venn Diagrams and share the thoughts and new knowledge. I love the idea...so for easy management (for me and the kids ;) I created this booklet using the information from Scholastic.
Anyone planning to use this site is welcome to use the booklet I created
to go along with it... it is found here for free!
