I love having my students turn their own photos into reindeers/elves. (Normally I just do reindeers with antlers and glittery red noses, but because I teacher Prep - aka Kinder - and Grade 1 students together I had to do something a little different and my firsties became elves today!) They also then have to apply for their job (ie: as a reindeer or an elf) and say WHY they would make a great reindeer/elf. SO cute!

I teach in a Muslim country so we don't really "do" Christmas - but this year I'm going to have students make Susan Moran's (TGIF) stocking stuffers community-building craft (http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Stocking-Stuffers-A-Community-Building-Freebie). It works perfectly with our Bucket Filling theme!
