11th Day Winner!!! and FREEBIE

Congratulations Krystal!!! You are our Day 11 winner!!

I loved reading your comments about your sweet gifts.  I used the word memorable because sometimes the ones we don't forget aren't the 'favorite' or 'most beautiful' or 'most valuable'   they just bring a memory to your heart.
I must say my memory isn't even mine... It's my dearest friend next door.  We've been teaching together for 14+ years and she's like my sister.  I absolutely love her.  Years ago she walked into my room about minutes after the school day ended.  I was going through my gifts and reading cards at my desk.  I will never forget the confused look on her face as she walked in and stopped a few feet into my classroom with a small, gold jewelry box in her hand.  All she said is, "You've got to see this!"  I slowly opening the box expecting to see something shiny and sparkly... maybe to go around her wrist... NO... it was a box of googly eyes and one old, wrinkled mint !  Yep!  That's right.  We both dropped to the floor laughing.  The random-ness along with pure exhaustion we were both feeling that day hit us like a ton of bricks.  She still keeps that gift it in her drawer.  On days, when one of the team is feeling low... she'll pull it out and share the joy.
It truly isn't the 'gift' but the amazing memories that stand behind them.

Thanks for sharing your memories today.  I've attached a Happy Holiday banner that requires very little craftiness... ribbon and a stapler... if you are in need of a bit of holiday cheer for the next few days... I'd love to share it with you!!
One more day... don't give up... It might be you tomorrow!!!

Thank you so much,
