So I received an email that "Dr.Seuss" is copyrighted...even the words... so we need to change any titles to files that we have created for Dr. Seuss Day.
My mind is mush!
I need a new fun name for my unit and I need your creative mush-less mind :)
Send in your idea of a fun title that I can rename my unit...if it is choosen... you win the file!

Winner! Winner!
I am always amazed at your creativity. I actually had to have my family help me decide.
The winner is Dr. Silly Stations!
I'll be sending the file tonight!
Thanks Again!

my 11 year old and 5 year helped me with this. they said this is great since his books are all about rhymes and riddles and tongue twisters

I'm so sorry to hear what everyone is going through with changing and renaming their creations :( I think Theo would be honored, not jumping up and down about copyrights!
Good Luck!

learning fun with a friendly feline in a floppy striped hat :)(ok, that's kinda wordy)... hmm... this is hard! lol...
The "Feline in the Striped Fedora" unit. It would also be great because the students could learn the meanings of feline and fedora!
I know, I received the same email! I just found your blog, and I'm your newest follower!

How about
Whimsical Readers
How about "First Grade is Too Young to Understand Copyright Infringement" or "Our Teacher Went to Jail For Using our Favorite Author's Name on Our Work Packets"?
Here's a little ditty I wrote:
There is no excu$e,
To prevent the u$e
Of the name Dr. $eu$$
Yeah, I don't think I'll be a winner either, but seriously, this is taking it a little far. He wanted children to read, for goodness sakes...so trademarking his name and preventing teachers from using it seems a bit heavy-handed.
Hope you come up with a suitable alternative. :-)

Suzy Q is correct....I've said this before--none of the creative work in question would be possible without THE BOOKS!
Your unit looks like fun!

hi lory,
it is me the winner...i can't believe i am actually saying that...since i have never won anything....
i did notice the email address you posted is missing an r....so it won't get to me....
i looked on my post and i see it spelled correctly there...so maybe a freak accident occurred?
so....
thanks so much for choosing my title....i am sure it was hard to choose...
can't wait to get it and start the printer up!
