So... in Survivor we discussed and observed "Number of the Day". We decided to create 2 seperate versions (due to the tally marks). Can't wait for everyone to give it a try :)
I am teaching 2nd for the first time this year. I taught 5th last year. I LOVE this. I am curious to know how you used it? I was thinking of printing out front and back pages and binding them for each student. What do you think? I am open to any and all suggestion.
Thank you for sharing! I love it, I am using the idea to make my own, I have my students write a number sentence with the number of the day so I'm adding that to what you have. I love this font and can't remember the name of it...does anyone happen to know...
Hello, I just found this on pinterest and I had to come and check it out! Thanks for sharing, you have a great blog, I am your newest follower!!!! Think I might now make my own version of a number of the day!!! Thanks
I use dice in small boxes to differentiate the numbers. Students working on two digit numbers get two dice those that can read 3 and 4 digits get 3 or 4 di. I was never really sure how to use the write it a different way part since the other forms were already on there.

Thanks, this is great! But I can't find the difference in the two versions, both have tally marks. Am I missing something?

Thank you! Great idea!
Great idea! wish I'd had this when my kids were younger! Reminds me of the Saxon Math for younger grades.
Thank you for making this link easy to print out.
