I ran over to Target today and found the cutest little JET-PUFFED Bunny Mallows. I had to buy them and create something for my kiddos. I've added this to my Teachers Pay Teachers account.
The kids and I had a great time exploring with our tangrams today. This week we read a few fun stories regarding tangrams. Grandfather Tang and 3 Pigs, 1 Wolf and 7 Magic Shapes were 2 of our favorites. The kids were very anxious to add this page to their portfolio.
Last Thursday, Math Survivor shared homework assignments and a couple of things came in that we wanted to tweak... so I've tweaked over the weekend. Thanks for sharing ladies!
I was asked how I displayed my spelling words for my students each week.
I have chosen to create a card for each word with a magnet on the back.
These hang on my whiteboard up front. During the week we do various activities such as ABC order. With the words individual and with a magnet we are able to this easily.
I've attached the lists for each unit below if you'd like to try.
This little math game is a thinker! It looks simple, easy and quite quick, however, the kiddos really need to follow the directions and strategize! They may ONLY use 10 chips and MUST cover the correct amount of money OR they lose their turn.
Today I was fortunate enough to spend my day with 20 NEW teachers to 1st or 2nd grade. They are fabulous ladies with energy, enthusiasm and a strong desire to teach!!
We were able to share ideas and activities and highs and lows in the classroom together.
The activities listed below are the items I shared today.
